Using AVL Presets With Older Versions of Lightroom Desktop

These are .XMP files and are made for version 7.3 and newer.  However, you can still use our desktop presets with older versions of Lightroom Desktop. 

If you import the .DNG files (the mobile presets) into the desktop version of Lightroom like you are importing photos, they come in with the settings attached. Here are the detailed instructions:

) Go to File > Import Photos and Video
2) Select the saved .DNG files
3) Once the files are imported, hit Develop in the upper right hand corner of Lightroom
4) Click on one of the .DNG "photos"
5) Hit 'Develop' in the upper left menu panel. Select 'New Preset'
6) Save the preset with the corresponding name (Example: AVL_Magnolia_Color Pop)

You will repeat steps 4-6 with each .DNG file and the presets will be saved to Lightroom.
