MEET ASHLEY
Hello! I'm Ashley. That is me in the photo...eight months pregnant during the pandemic. I know I look eleven months pregnant, but trust me, I wasn't.
My husband and I had relocated to Austin from Los Angeles and did not yet know a photographer friend we trusted to take our maternity photos. Both of us are professional filmmakers and photographers and decided for safety purposes we would just take the photos ourselves. Just put the camera on a tri-pod, set a timer, and voila! How hard could it be?
Spoiler alert: it was VERY HARD. My husband was dripping sweat from running to the camera, setting the timer, and then running back in time to try and look relaxed. Golden hour was quickly fading. Our dog was rolling in deer you-know-what. Bugs were attacking me. It was a mess. But I was able to salvage our disaster of a photo session with my Presets (this is Sage & Honey).
When I created AVL Presets back in 2019, I did it because I wanted others to be able to save time editing while achieving professional level results in just 1-click. I still use my own Presets daily. I seriously love them and I hope you do, too!
